Coach Smith is entering his first season as assistant coach for the Indians. He spent two years at Newnan High School (2020-2022) where he served as the head 9th grade coach. 

 

Coach Smith is a graduate of East Coweta where he was a three year letterman in baseball (2012-2014). He played on a state elite eight team (2013) and a sweet 16 team (2014) both which were region champion teams. Coach Smith led the 2014 team in fewest strikeouts with 5 in 81 plate appearances while having a .367 batting average. 

 

Coach Smith graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019 with a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in leadership and development. He completed his math education courses while at the University of Georgia and completed his teaching certification in 2020. He currently teaches math at East Coweta.

 

Coach Smith is married to Delaney!  Coach Smith and his wife live in Grantville, Ga and attend One Church in Fayetteville.
